The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy versus Tai Chi Chih versus a Health Education seminar on patient’s ability to cope with RA and the severity and progression of their arthritis symptoms. |
Subjects will Receive : |
Who is Eligible ? |
- Free Tai Chi Chih instruction or Cognitive Behavioral |
- Adults ages 18 and older |
- Free Health screenings and blood tests |
- Diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis |
- Compensation up to $200 |

Study Requirements: |

- Initial medical screening |
- Initial interview, blood draw and questionnaires |
- Ability to attend classes over a 12-week period |
- 4 follow-up interviews and blood draws, over a 52-week period |
